Daniel Zunker became the first Bulldog to earn NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors in three-consecutive years.  His graduating GPA of 3.95 was the ninth-highest in the NAIA among baseball graduates in 1999.  Zunker played five positions for the Bulldogs and was a starter at four positions – third base, second base, first base, and pitcher.  He was the winning pitcher for TLU in the 1998 Hear of Texas Conference Tournament second championship game, and was 8-1 with a 1.98 ERA in his senior season, which included a no-hitter against St. Edward’s to clinch the outright 1999 HOTC regular season title.
