Bio

Christy Clawson was the setter for the Texas Lutheran volleyball team during a run that included 114 wins and just 50 losses.  Clawson and the Bulldogs captured two Heart of Texas Conference Championships and played in the 1993 NAIA National Tournament in Point Loma, California.  The Bulldogs finished in ninth place at the national tournament.  Clawson still holds numerous records.  She is the all-time leader in assists per game (9.86), service aces (247), and service aces per game (.585).  She also holds the single-season mark for assists (1,810 in 1993), and the top two totals for a single-season aces per game (.717 in 1993 and .651 in 1994).  Christy becomes the third member of the Bulldogs’ Fab Five to be inducted to TLU Athletics the Hall of Fame.  She joins teammates Jessica Gaytan Szymanki and Dana Kruger.
