Bio

Carl Schoessow holds three all-time records in football – career interceptions (22), longest interception return (95 yards for a touchdown), and longest punt return (95 yards for a touchdown).  Schoessow had seven interceptions for 135 yards in 1969, eight picks for 78 yards in 1970, and nine interceptions for 76 yards in 1971.  He was also known as a great tackler.  Carl played for three coaches – Fred Hightower, Carman Bonner, and Jim Wacker.  Schoessow was also a four-year member of the Texas Lutheran men’s basketball team and lettered two seasons.
