Bio

Burnsville, Minnesota native Beckman put together three NAIA All-American seasons and won the 1991 NAIA Men’s Golf Individual Championship, becoming the second Texas Lutheran men’s golfer to win a national title.  He led the Bulldogs to national tournament finishes of second (1990), sixth (1991) and fifth (1992).  Beckman turned professional in 1993 and was named the Lone Star Tour Player of the Year in 1994.  He earned his Nike Tour Card in 1997 and 1998 and during those seasons played in three PGA tour events.  Beckman earned his PGA Tour card in 1998 and been a PGA Tour member since that time.  He has two career PGA victories – the 2001 Southern Farm Bureau Classic, and the 2008 Frys.com Open.  Beckman was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 2000.
