Bill Miller joins his father, Wilbert O. ‘Red’ Miller, as an inductee into the TLU Athletics Hall of Fame.  Bill lettered four years in football and four years in baseball.  Miller was a defensive back on the 1974 and 1975 national championship teams and on the 1976 national semifinal squad.  As a pitcher for the Bulldogs, Miller was the Big State Conference Most Valuable Player in 1975.  He returned to TLU in 1992-93 academic year to succeed his former coach and mentor Ray Katt.  Miller coached the Bulldogs for 15 seasons and became TLU’s record holder for baseball wins (530).  His winning percentage of .734 is the highest among all-time TLU coaches.  Miller and the Bulldogs made three appearances in the NCAA Division III Baseball Championships, won two HOTC championships, three ASC championships, and made six appearances in the NAIA district and regional playoffs.  Miller was honored as HOTC Coach of the Year in 1999 and was ASC West Division Coach of the Year four times.
