John Krog provided left-handed power to the early to mid-2000s Texas Lutheran Baseball teams. When John's career ended in 2005, he was the school's all-time leader in career doubles (66). Krog was the power-hitting first baseman as he starred on a TLU squad that advanced to the NCAA West Regional Championship - the first in school history. John Krog and the Bulldogs won the 2005 American Southwest Conference Championship and came within one game of winning the NCAA D-III West Regional and advancing to the NCAA D-III World Series that season. At the end of his career, Krog held school and conference records for single season doubles (25 - 2003). On two occasions, he hit three doubles in a game - a school record. He is fifth all-time in Texas Lutheran baseball history in single season slugging percentage (.768 - 2005), and single season total bases (119 - 2003). Krog also ranks fifth all-time in career RBIs with 154. He ranks third all-time in career home runs (31) and career batting average (.372). His career slugging percentage (.714) ranks second all-time and fifth all-time in career total bases (345). Krog doubled, tripled, and scored twice as TLU defeated 11th ranked Linfield (OR) in the NCAA Tournament in 2005. He was a key member of a Bulldogs team that won 31 games in a row over the course of the 2002 and 2003 seasons and spent six weeks ranked #1 in the ABCA national poll in 2003.
