76 Texas Lutheran Student-Athletes Earn SCAC Fall Academic Honor Roll Accolades
SEGUIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran University placed 76 student-athletes on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Student-Athlete Fall Academic Honor Roll, the conference office announced Friday.
A total of 884 student-athletes made the list, a SCAC conference record. Since its inception in 1997, over 36,000 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
Texas Lutheran volleyball, football, women's and men's soccer all tallied double-digit honorees, with football leading the way with 19 honorees and women's soccer following closely behind with seventeen. Texas Lutheran volleyball placed 14 while men's soccer tallied twelve. Women's and men's cross country tallied seven each.
TLU had 23 SCAC All-Conference honorees from 2024 that also picked up Academic Honor Roll recognition this year. All-Region honorees Jack Manke and Diego Roman, SCAC Elite 19 winner Weston Guzman, and three-time SCAC Offensive Player of the Year Alyssa Simien headline the illustrious group that was named to the Academic Honor Roll and SCAC All-Conference teams.
