SHERMAN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran - who has made a habit of sweeping their opponents in 2023 - recorded their 13th sweep in 26 matches this season on Saturday as it swept Centenary, 25-14, 25-9, 25-8 at Hughey Gymnasium on the campus of Austin College.

The Bulldogs (19-7, 9-4 SCAC) got off to a quick start in set one as they quickly took a 10-4 lead. The Bulldogs would lead the match wire-to-wire without so much as a tie with the Ladies on Saturday.

It was all Texas Lutheran in the second and third sets as the Bulldogs would keep the Ladies under 10 points in the final two sets in one of their most dominant showings of the season. TLU hit .500 in the second set with 18 kills and .429 with 11 kills in the third set.

TLU hit .370 for the match (43 kills - 9 errors - 92 attempts) as Tanyse Moehrig (Spring Branch/Smithson Valley) led the way with 10 kills. Brylie Nedd (Sealy/Sealy) added nine kills.

The Bulldogs held Centenary to just a -.053 hitting percentage.

Shavonne Respondek (San Antonio/Madison) put up 22 assists to go along with seven digs, six kills, four service aces, and a block. Richelle Guerra (Brownsville/Rivera Early College) recorded a match-high 15 digs while adding two service aces. Faith Coldewey (Floresville/Floresville), who entered Saturday 13th in NCAA Division-III in digs, joined Guerra in double figures with 13 digs.

Keriann Kallus (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) led TLU with three blocks Saturday afternoon.
