Lexi Morris Recognized as AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention
SEGUIN, Texas -- For the first time in her career, senior libero Lexi Morris (Victoria/Victoria West) was distinguished as American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region Honorable Mention for the West Region (Region X).
Morris is the first All-West Region honoree since Texas Lutheran joined the SCAC and first overall since Jessica Stetler in 2010.
Morris, a Victoria, Texas, native, finished second in NCAA Division-III in digs with 762 - a new single-season TLU record. She was the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Backrow Player of the Year for the second straight season and became a two-time All-Conference selection. Morris was a two-time SCAC Defensive Player of the Week this season - finishing her career as a five-time honoree.
Morris concludes her TLU career as the Texas Lutheran single-season leader in digs - occupying three of the top five spots on the list - and the all-time career leader in digs (2,554) and digs per set (5.53). She finishes third in SCAC history in career digs and digs per set. Morris also led NCAA Division-III in digs in 2021 with 737 digs.
