Martinez Earns Second SCAC Weekly Honor of Season

SEGUIN, Texas -- Sophomore Klarissa Martinez (Houston/Incarnate Word Academy) earned her second Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season and her career after a three-point match in the regular season finale against Southwestern.

Martinez recorded a goal and an assist in the Bulldogs 4-2 victory over Southwestern.

Martinez is second in the SCAC in total goals (10) and points (22) and leads in game-winning goals (4) while leading the conference in goals (6) and points (13) in SCAC play.

Martinez joins her teammate Alyssa Simien as the only players to earn multiple SCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season.

The Bulldogs and Pirates will meet again in the SCAC Tournament semifinals on Friday, Nov. 3 at 2:30 PM at SaberCats Stadium in Houston, Texas, in a rematch of the 2022 SCAC Tournament Semifinals. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
