Bulldogs Fall to No. 8 Trinity, 4-0

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's soccer concluded the regular season with a 4-0 loss to 8th-ranked Trinity Sunday afternoon at Paul McGinlay Soccer Field.

The Tigers wasted no time getting on the board netting the first goal of the match 1:28 into the match. The Tigers would add another goal in the 40th minute to take a 2-0 advantage into halftime before piling on two more second half goals. The Bulldogs fought to the very end, but the Bulldogs couldn't find the back of the net on their two shot attempts as they were unable to avoid the shutout in the regular season finale.

The Bulldogs (11-7-1, 11-3 SCAC) were outshot 29-2 in the contest. The Tigers (18-0-1, 14-0 SCAC) also held a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Madison Johnson (Pflugerville/Hendrickson) was active in goal - matching her career high with six saves on Saturday.

Texas Lutheran begins play in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Friday in San Antonio. TLU, the No. 2 seed, will face the No. 3 seed Southwestern (9-5-5, 9-3-2) at 7:30 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
