Texas Lutheran Falls, 3-0, to No. 7/8 Trinity (TX)

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's soccer's (5-6-1, 5-2 SCAC) five match win streak came to a hault Sunday afternoon - dropping their Sunday afternoon match, 3-0, to No.7/8 Trinity University (11-0-1, 7-0 SCAC) at Gustafson Field.

The Tigers wasted no time getting on the board netting the first goal of the match in the 5th minute. The Tigers would add two more goals in the 17th and 25th minutes to take a 3-0 advantage that they would hold through the remainder of the half. The Bulldogs fought to the very end, but the Bulldogs couldn't find the back of the net on their four shot attempts as they were unable to avoid the home shutout.

The Tigers outshot the Bulldogs 16-4 and led 9-1 in shots on goal. Senior Elena Rivera (New Braunfels/Canyon) was active in goal for the Bulldogs saving five of her eight shots defended.

Texas Lutheran returns to the pitch on Tuesday as they welcome Southwestern University to Gustafson Field as the two teams continue to jockey for second in the SCAC with the conference tournament impending. Kick off is scheduled for 7 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
