SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Soccer and Austin College tied 1-1 Friday at Gustafson Field in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
TLU's record moved to 2-3-1 overall and to 2-1-1 in the SCAC.
Austin College is now 0-3-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the SCAC.
TLU out-shot Austin College 32-7. The Bulldogs put 22 shots on goal. Austin College keeper Meredith Harris turned away 21 TLU shots on goal.
Samantha Martinez gave TLU a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute. Madison Alexander delivered the assist.
Austin College responded with a goal in the 66th minute from Hallie Dickerson. Sydney Padget recorded the assist.
After 90 minutes of regulation, the teams played two scoreless 10-minute overtime periods.
TLU's next match is a home contest on March 27 against Centenary. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Gustafson Field.
