TLU Women's Golf Opens Spring at Space City Classic

HOUSTON, Texas --  Texas Lutheran women's golf opened its 2024 spring season on Monday with the first round of the Space City Classic at Gus Wortham Golf Course in Houston, Texas. The Bulldogs have three players competing as individuals.

Junior Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) led the Bulldogs over the opening 18 holes with a score of 10-over 81 to sit in a tie for 19th.

Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) and Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) sit in 45th (+26) and 48th (+29) place respectively.

Texas Lutheran's second round tees off at 8 AM on Tuesday. The 12 team field features six teams from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and four teams from the American Southwest Conference. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
