Texas Lutheran Concludes First Round Of West Region Invitational

GEORGETOWN, Texas --  Texas Lutheran women's golf returned to the course to continue its spring season on Monday with a 59-over 347 in the first round of the West Region Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas. The Bulldogs are in seventh place after the opening round with Mary Hardin-Baylor leading with a score of 19-over.

Senior Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word) led the Bulldogs over the opening 18 holes with a score of 10-over 82 to sit in a tie for 14th. Flores is seven shots behind leader Samantha Miethke (Concordia (TX)).

Sophomore Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) fired a 13-over 85 on Monday and is tied for 23rd.

Texas Lutheran's second round tees off at 8:30 AM on Tuesday. The nine-team field features six teams from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and three teams from the American Southwest Conference. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
