Flores Nabs Top 10 Finish as TLU Concludes Hal Sutton Invitational

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team wrapped the Hal Sutton Invitational Tuesday at The Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, Louisiana.

As a team, Texas Lutheran finished fifth in a field of five teams combining for a score of 759, 143-over par over 36 holes.

After day one saw her finish five strokes back of the lead, Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word) continued to pace the Bulldogs on day two with an 84 in the final round Tuesday to finish tied for seventh overall with a final tally of 167, 23-over.

Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) finished the tournament 45-over to finish 21st overall in the 36-hole tournament.

Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) snuck into the top 25 - finishing 24th overall with a 51-over score of 195.

TLU returns to the course April 3-4 when they participate in the West Region Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas, for one last tuneup ahead of April's 2023 SCAC Championships.
