Flores in Contention After Day One of Hal Sutton Invitational

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team sits in fifth place on the team leaderboard with senior Wynter Flores finding herself in the top five after the opening 18 holes at the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate Invitational at The Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word) was fifth in the field individually, leading the way for the Bulldogs in the first round as she finished the day 11-over par - five strokes back of the lead.

Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) and Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) both finished 24-over par to finish tied for 21st.

Texas Lutheran's second round tees off at 9 AM on Tuesday. The five-team field is comprised of TLU, Mississippi College, Hardin-Simmons, Blinn College, and Tyler Junior College. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
