Flores in Contention After Day One of The Whitney

WHITNEY, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team sits in a tie for third place on the team leaderboard with two players inside the top 10 after the first day of play in The Whitney at White Bluff Golf Resort.

Senior Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word) led the way for the Bulldogs in the first round, as she finished the day 10-over par and in a tie for fourth place.

Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) finished her round 22-over par and entered the clubhouse in a tie for 10th place.

Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) finished 27-over par to finish in the top 15 - ending the day tied for 13th.

Texas Lutheran's second round tees off at 9 AM on Tuesday. The four-team field is comprised of TLU, Dallas, East Texas Baptist, and Pomona Pitzer College. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
