TLU Women's Golf Opens Spring at Space City Classic

HOUSTON, Texas --  Texas Lutheran women's golf opened its spring season on Monday with a 72-over 356 in the first round of the Space City Classic at Gus Wortham Golf Course in Houston, Texas. The Bulldogs are in eighth place after the opening round with Concordia University leading with a score of 26-over.

Sophomore Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) led the Bulldogs over the opening 18 holes with a score of 10-over 81 to sit in a tie for 14th. Frederick is seven shots behind leader Julia Moss (Concordia (TX)).

Senior Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word) fired a 14-over 85 on Monday and is tied for 25th.

Texas Lutheran's second round tees off at 8:30 AM on Tuesday. The eight-team field features six teams from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and two teams from the American Southwest Conference. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
