Flores Leads Texas Lutheran on Day One of Tempest Intercollegiate
GLADEWATER, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team sits in eighth place (+78) after the first day of the Tempest Intercollegiate hosted by LeTourneau University at Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater, Texas.
Senior Wynter Flores (San Antonio/Incarnate Word) paced the Bulldogs on day one - shooting 15-over-par 87 to finish tied for 23rd. Sophomore Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) was right on her heels, finishing with a 16-over 88. Freshman Mireia Bustamante (Austin/McNeil) sits just outside the top 25, tied for 31st - finishing day one at 22-over 94.
Concordia University (TX) leads the Tempest Intercollegiate with a team score of 23-over par while Karen Lee of UT-Dallas sits atop of the individual leaderboard with a day one score of three-over.
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 8 AM at Tempest Golf Club. Stats will be available at golfstat.com.
