Texas Lutheran WBB Releases 2023-24 Schedule

SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's basketball team released the details of the 2023-24 schedule on Tuesday.

The season begins on Nov. 8 against LeTourneau inside "The Dog House" Memorial Gymnasium. Lincoln University (CA) (Nov. 17), Cal Lutheran (Nov. 21), Pacific Lutheran (Nov. 22), and Concordia (TX) (Nov. 27) will all visit Memorial Gymnasium in non-conference action. Texas Lutheran will travel to Austin for matchups with Concordia (TX) (Nov. 12) and Division-II St. Edward's (Nov. 18). The Bulldogs will also take part in their annual exhibition game against Division-I Incarnate Word in San Antonio on Dec. 20.

TLU will kick off Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play on Dec. 1st and 3rd when it welcomes the Schreiner Mountaineers and the defending SCAC champions, the #6 Trinity Tigers to Seguin. The Bulldogs will travel to Colorado College on Dec. 15th before wrapping up non-conference play against Sul Ross State on December 21st. The Bulldogs jump back into conference play after the Christmas break welcoming Austin College and Dallas to Memorial Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs begin 2024 with a five-game conference road trip as it visits Centenary (Jan. 5), St. Thomas (Jan. 7), Schreiner (Jan. 19), Trinity (Jan. 20), and Southwestern (Jan. 23). The Bulldogs will return home for a Sunday afternoon contest against Colorado College on Jan. 28th before traveling to Austin College (Feb. 2) and Dallas (Feb. 3).

The Bulldogs wrap the regular season with a three-game homestand - hosting Centenary (Feb. 9), St. Thomas (Feb. 10), and Southwestern in the regular season finale on Feb. 16th.

The SCAC Tournament will be held February 23-25, 2024, at The Gold Dome on the campus of Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The 2023-24 Bulldogs roster will feature 13 returners from a team that finished 14-12 overall and 9-7 in SCAC play. First Team All-SCAC honoree Kailee Mulkey (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) highlights Texas Lutheran's roster for the upcoming season along with three other All-SCAC selections from last season in sophomores Lauren Sansano (San Antonio/FEAST) and Davi'Yanna Jones (San Antonio/Stevens) along with fifth-year senior Kailey Lacy (Pflugerville/Hendrickson). The Bulldogs add three freshmen and three transfers - including Division-II transfers Juliett Martinez (San Antonio/Reagan/St. Mary's) and Audry Hornaday (Mission/Sharyland/Texas A&M-International) - who joins former Dustdevil teammate Kayla Presley (Kyle/San Marcos) on the Bulldogs.
