Coach Holland's Comments: "Going into this meet we had some big goals. For the most part, it just wasn't a good day for us. The heat and humidity in Houston was a tough adjustment for us after having fairly good practice weather leading up to it here in Seguin. A lightning delay of an hour threw us off right before the long jump, high jump, 4x1, men's shot put and women's discus were beginning and so enthusiasm waned a little afterwards. I will say that Gerrit Twitero had a GREAT day in the high jump, making the first 2 heights easily on first attempts and missing 2.00 meters on little technical difficulties. Elijah Jefferson ran close to his PR in the 100, while Wyatt Wilson did run a PR in the event. Scottie Reyes and Zach Herman didn't have PR's in the shot put, but had a great SERIES of far throws in the event.

We have Our Lady of the Lake next Friday in San Antonio to try to improve on our performances."

Texas Lutheran will travel to San Antonio to participate in the 2022 Saints Last Chance Meet held by Our Lady of the Lake on May 13.
