Zachary Herman Named SCAC Field Athlete of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Texas Lutheran men's track and field senior thrower Zachary Herman (Austin/Lake Travis) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 3.

Herman earned this distinction following a career day at the David Noble Relays at Angelo State University.

He had a personal best 15.90m throw in the shot put to finish seventh among athletes across all divisions and first amongst Division-III competitors. The mark was strong enough to land Herman on the D3 National List and is currently tied for third in all of Division-III with teammate Scottie Reyes (Dilley/Dilley).

Herman also finished eighth in the hammer with a toss of 48.36m, currently the top toss in the SCAC this season.

Herman and the Bulldogs will travel to University of the Incarnate Word to compete in the UIW Invitational in San Antonio, Texas, April 8-9.
