Men's Tennis Falls to St. Thomas, 7-2
SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's tennis dropped their home SCAC conference match to St. Thomas 7-2, Friday afternoon at Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center to fall to 1-10 on the season.
The Bulldogs squad were swept in doubles competition. The team of Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Aaron Salinas (Kerrville/Tivy) pushed their match to a 6-8 finish.
In singles competition, Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) would earn his second singles win of the 2023 season. After dropping the first set 4-6, the freshman would fire back to win the next two sets 6-0, 10-8.
Xavier Cristan (Corpus Christi/Flour Bluff) would earn his fifth singles win of the season, defeating former TLU Bulldog Hunter Kemball-Cook, 6-2, 6-0.
Up next, Texas Lutheran welcomes Whitworth University to Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center for non-conference play on Tuesday, March 28. First serve is set for 2 PM.
