Louis Hart Named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's soccer sophomore Louis Hart (Missouri City/Ridge Point) has been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday. Playing the full 90 minutes in two out of three Texas Lutheran matches thus far, Hart has led a strong defensive effort that has seen the Bulldogs hold teams scoreless through their first three matches.

This is the first career SCAC Defensive Player of the Week honor for Hart, a SCAC All-Freshman team honoree last season.

Through three matches, Hart has played 225 of 270 potential minutes for the Bulldogs. Texas Lutheran has only conceded four shots on goal and currently maintains a three shutout in a row streak.

After a two match road trip in Virginia, Texas Lutheran will host Concordia University on Friday night at Gustafson Field. The match will begin at 5 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
