Bulldogs Move to 4-1 in SCAC with Win Over Southwestern

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Mason Wallace (San Antonio/Judson), Xavier Phillips (Austin/Dripping Springs), Isaac Orozco (Helotes/O'Connor), and Mason Green (San Marcos/San Marcos) combined for 53 points to lead the Bulldogs (9-5, 4-1 SCAC) to a 66-56 win over Southwestern at The Robertson Center in Georgetown, Texas.

Wallace continues to impress as a freshman pouring in 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting to finish in double figures for the seventh time this season. Phillips, sat right around his team leading season average of 14.1 points per game, scoring 14 points - all in the second half.

Texas Lutheran would lead for a majority of the game - leading by as many as 15 points. Southwestern did not allow the Bulldogs to coast to an easy win on their home floor however as the Pirates closed the gap to 59-53 with 47 seconds remaining.

Wallace and Phillips made for a dynamic duo Tuesday night with Wallace dominating the first half with 13 points and Phillips picking up the slack to score 14 points in the second half. Isaac Orozco matched his season-high with 12 points and team-high three assists. Mason Green would narrowly miss yet another double-double finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds.
