Bulldogs Drop Road Contest to Hardin-Simmons

ABILENE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran dropped Friday's contest at Hardin-Simmons, 91-63, at the Mabee Complex in Abilene, Texas.

Riley Fornerette (Surprise, Ariz./Dysart) scored 13 points to lead the way for the Bulldogs. Joemori Francis (Port Arthur/Hutto) scored nine points off the bench in his collegiate debut.

A three-pointer from sophomore Easton Allen (New Braunfels/Marion) on the opening possession would give Texas Lutheran its only lead of the game as Hardin-Simmons would gain the lead with 18:33 remaining in the half and never give up the lead - going on a 20-6 run over the next seven minutes. The Cowboys led by 18 at halftime and by as many as 28 points - closing with the final 91-63 tally. After shooting a near 40-percent in the season opener, Texas Lutheran struggled - shooting 19-percent from beyond the arc and turning the ball over 24 times Friday night.

Up next, the Bulldogs Abilene road trip continues as they stay in Abilene to face the War Hawks of McMurry University on Saturday, November 12th. Tip-off is set for 3 PM. All streaming and live stats links can be found on tlubulldogs.com.
