TLU A&T Falls to UMHB on the Road

BELTON, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Acrobatics and Tumbling continues to make history as they traveled to Mary Hardin-Baylor for the first road meet in program history on Saturdayat the Mayborn Campus Center. The Bulldogs would drop the meet to the Crusaders with the Bulldogs (0-2) earning a total score of 99.225 and the Crusaders (1-0) earning a total score of 250.380.

Texas Lutheran scored a new program-high 16.10 in the compulsory, including a 3.95 in acro, 4.30 in pyramid, 5.85 in toss, and 2.00 in tumbling out of the highest possible value of 10. UMHB outscored the Bulldogs in the compulsory, earning a 36.45 total score.

After the acro event, TLU continued to trail the more experienced Crusaders, who began their fourth season of competition on Saturday. Texas Lutheran earned a total score of 14.45, also a new program-high, consisting of a 2.15 in the fifth element, 4.90 in the sixth element, and 3.10 in the seventh element.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor would out score the Bulldogs in the pyramid event, 28.65 to 20.60.

Leading into the half, TLU trailed UMHB 92.25 - 46.85. 
 
The Crusaders took the toss event, with event scores being 26.60 - 17.25. Texas Lutheran earned an 8.40 in salto, 6.45 in synchronized, and 2.40 in open - all increased scores from their inaugural meet last week in Seguin.
 
UMHB also took the tumbling event, outscoring TLU 49.850 to 35.125.
 
Up next, Texas Lutheran returns to Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday, March 11 at 4 PM, welcoming Hawaii Pacific and Azusa Pacific for the first tri-meet in TLU Acrobatics and Tumbling history. All streaming links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
