Texas Lutheran Wraps Season at Trinity Last Chance Meet
SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's track and field team wrapped their 2024 season on Sunday at the Trinity Last Chance Meet hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio.
Trinity Murdock (Katy/Paetow) shined once again at Trinity Stadium on Sunday, after winning the 100m dash with a time of 12.11 seconds at the venue two weeks ago, the senior would run a season-best time of 12.03 seconds to finish second overall and first amongst Division-III sprinters.
The SCAC Champion Texas Lutheran 4x100m relay team comprised of Taylor Norrell (Lake Jackson/Brazosport), Natalie Garcia (McAllen/McAllen), Leilani Lopez (San Antonio/St. Anthony Catholic), and Murdock finished third with a time of 48.54 seconds.
Kenna Kubenka (Hallettsville/Hallettsville) would finish third in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.50m (146'0'') while Julissa Rodriguez (Deer Park/Deer Park) would earn the third place finish in the shot put with a mark of 11.29m (37'0.5").
