Colorado College rolls to sixth straight victory with 79-54 win over Texas Lutheran

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Colorado College Tigers won their sixth consecutive game of the season by defeating Texas Lutheran 79-54 Thursday night in Reid Arena.
 
The Tigers never trailed in the game and led by as many as 35.
 
CC improved to 6-3 overall and to 2-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
 
TLU, the defending SCAC champion, dropped to 2-6 overall and to 0-1 in the SCAC.
 
McKenzee Gertz led the Tigers with 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Rosie Braley collected 17 points and six rebounds.
 
For TLU, Kasey Hairell and Cami Davis each scored eight. Hairell registered seven rebounds.
 
The Bulldogs were held to 33.3 percent shooting for the game. TLU went 6-for-26 from the three-point line.
 
The Tigers shot 50 percent from the field for the game and had a 38-20 advantage in points in the paint.
 
TLU continues SCAC play with a 7:30 p.m. MST (8:30 p.m. CST) tip-off Friday against Johnson & Wales-Denver.
