Texas Lutheran's Abby Hroch named SCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran junior post Abby Hroch (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) has been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Monday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 8.
Hroch led TLU to a 66-57 non-conference win over Concordia Texas last Tuesday by scoring 18 points and going a perfect 8-for-8 from the field. She also grabbed six total rebounds, registered one block, and dished out one assist.
The 18 points scored mark a season-high for Hroch. It was the second time this season she has hit double-figures in scoring.
The 18 points were three points off Hroch's career-high of 21, which she scored against Sul Ross State in the 2017-18 season.
So far in the 2019-20 season, Hroch averages 9.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. She is shooting 56.4 percent from the field.
Hroch and the Bulldogs return to action this Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. home game against Sul Ross State. Live video and live stats will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
