"It's always exciting to compete against teams like UT, which is a cool experience, but at the same time we have a lot of work to do in both programs," said Darlene Holland, TLU's head coach for men's and women's cross country. "Both teams have a lot of work ahead of them, but we know what we're working for. We will work and continue to improve and get better every week."
"This week we have Our Lady of The Lake which is less stressful, and we'll work a lot better. The women will compete on the 6k course and the men will run the 8k course."
At the Texas Invitational, Kylee Garcia led the TLU Women with a finish of 26th overall. She covered the 5K course in 20 minutes, 48.65 seconds.
