Texas Lutheran registers 8-1 win versus Howard Payne
SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's and Men's Tennis squads each grabbed home victories Saturday over Howard Payne. The TLU Women won 7-2, and the TLU Men won 8-1.
Mary Eby won at No. 2 singles and again at No. 3 doubles. Eby took a 6-4, 6-1 win over Brittany Sutton.
In the men's match, TLU won five of the six singles matches and all three doubles matches.
Dylan Layne and Joshua Bowman collected an 8-7 win at No. 2 doubles. Layne and Bowman won 7-5 in the tiebreaker.
Alex Talley won at No. 1 singles and at No. 1 doubles with Matthew Stephenson.
The TLU men improved to 3-8 overall. HPU fell to 3-6.
The TLU women moved to 5-5 overall. HPU dropped to 1-8.
