TLU's McArthur leads through two rounds at BSN Sports Dataw Invite
DATAW ISLAND, S.C. -- Texas Lutheran's Matthew McArthur is even through two rounds at the BSN Sports Dataw Invite and holds a one-shot lead on the field entering Tuesday's final 18 holes.
McArthur and the Bulldogs are in a tie for fifth in the team standings among the 15 teams participating.
TLU carded team rounds of 309 and 312 on Monday at the Dataw Island Club's Cotton Pike course.
McMurry is the two-round leader after scores of 291 and 299. McMurry is followed by Webster, Millikin, Kenyon, and TLU and Skidmore in fifth. Rensselaer Polytechnic, Ohio Wesleyan, Maryville, McDaniel, Millikin, Mount St. Joseph, Washington & Jefferson, Shenandoah, and Ohio Wesleyan (B) round out the field.
McArthur has a one shot lead over Will Hocker of Webster, Brendon Lowrance of McMurry, and Elliot Bourke of McMurry.
Fellow Bulldog Cameron Carter is in a tie for 23rd after a 77 and a 79. Chase Maus is in a tie for 35th with scores of 74 and 84.
Nathan Haley and Evan Skarr are in ties for 50th and 77th, respectively.
