SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran rolled to a 14-1 home victory Saturday night against New Jersey City.
The Bulldogs improved to 7-4 overall. New Jersey City dropped to 0-5.
TLU senior right-fielder Tyler Cauley hit a three-run home run in the Bulldogs' five-run fourth inning. Cauley drove in five and went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
Tyler Post was 2-for-4 with two RBI, and Cole Irby reached base four times and scored three runs.
Joe Jimenez hit a solo home run in the second inning.
Matthew Hickey improved to 3-0 with five innings of shutout work. He struck out eight.
Landon Weatherly pitched three scoreless innings, and James Taylor tossed a scoreless ninth.
TLU and New Jersey City complete the two-game series with a 6 p.m. Sunday contest at TLU's Katt-Isbel Field.
