Ben Wolf is in his third season as an assistant coach (throws coach) with the Texas Lutheran Women's and Men's Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field programs.
In 2019, Wolf coached shot-putter Garrett Garza to a national runner-up finish in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Garza broke the school record for shot put four times during the 2019 season, and he only lost one time to an NCAA Division III athlete in an outdoor competition.
Wolf also coached Garza to an All-America finish in the shot put at the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. Garza was eighth in the 2019 indoor championships. Garza also qualified for the 2018 outdoor championships.
Wolf also served as the throws coach for javelin specialist Tia Hart, who qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
With Wolf as the throws coach, the Bulldogs won the 2018 and 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track & Field team titles. The Bulldogs have produced 12 individual throws conference champions.
Wolf is a native of Columbus, Ohio. He received his bachelor's degree in sports management from Lake Erie College in Cleveland, Ohio. He has a master's degree from Shorter University in Rome, Ga. His master's degree is in leadership.
Wolf coached previously at Shorter University, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and Florida A&M University.
Wolf lettered four years in football and in track & field at Lake Erie College.
