Tim and Jenifer Mickan inducted into TLU Athletics Leadership Wall of Honor

SEGUIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran University inducted Tim and Jenifer Mickan into the TLU Athletics Leadership Wall of Honor during a pre-game ceremony last Saturday at Bulldog Stadium.

The Athletics Leadership Wall of Honor was established in 2002 to recognize individuals who demonstrate outstanding support and service to TLU Athletics through monetary or in-kind contributions, volunteer activities, and public advocacy of the program.

The Mickans have financially supported TLU Athletics for many years through the Front Row fundraising event and with direct gifts to TLU Football.

The Mickans made a leadership gift for Bulldog Stadium – a contribution that has had a huge impact not only on current students but on alumni and the entire TLU community.

“In honor of their unwavering support of TLU and TLU Athletics, we are pleased to induct Tim and Jenifer Mickan into the TLU Athletics Leadership Wall of Honor,” said Bill Miller, TLU’s Director Athletics. “Congratulations to Tim and Jenifer, and we thank them for all they have done for TLU and Bulldogs everywhere.”

Tim Mickan is a 1981 graduate of Texas Lutheran. He graduated with a degree in business administration. While at Texas Lutheran, he was an outstanding football player and earned the Thomas Eddy Award for his leadership and playing abilities.

Jenifer Mickan graduated from Texas Lutheran in 1980 as an education major. She had a minor in physical education.

Once the Mickans graduated from college, they moved to Houston, and Tim began his career in the oilfield supply and service industry. On April 1, 1993, Tim founded Mickan Tool and Supply LLC, a worldwide leader within the industry. He continues to enjoy operating the business to this day.

Jenifer began her teaching career in Sealy, Texas and later accepted positions at Dulles Elementary in Stafford, Texas and St. Philip Lutheran Church and Pre-School in Houston. Later in her career, Jen worked for Houston Community College as a transition specialist for students with special needs.
