Texas Lutheran Finishes Season Against Colorado College

SHERMAN, Texas -- The No. 6 seeded Texas Lutheran women's tennis team was defeated 5-0 by No. 3 seed Colorado College in the first round of the SCAC Championships on Thursday at the Russell Tennis Center in Sherman, Texas.

The Tigers (7-11) quickly went up 3-0, sweeping the Bulldogs in doubles competition.

The Tigers would quickly move to 4-0, winning a singles match by default before winning the #5 singles spot in straight sets to clinch the match - leaving the remainder of the matches unfinished.

The Bulldogs finish the season with a 3-13 record.

Thursday's match served as senior Allie Speyrer's (Shallowater/Shallowater) final collegiate match. We thank her for all of her contributions to the Texas Lutheran tennis program.
