Texas Lutheran's Mary Eby named SCAC Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran's Mary Eby, a junior women's tennis player from Rockport, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week.

Eby went 3-1 in last week's East Texas/Louisiana road trip. She played No. 2 singles in all four of the team matches and came away with three straight-set victories.

Eby won 6-1, 6-0 at Louisiana College, 7-5, 7-6 (3) at LeTourneau, and 6-2, 6-2 at Centenary (La.).

Eby, with her doubles partner Madison Starr, also collected a 2-1 record in doubles play.

The Bulldogs are 3-1 overall as they head to Brownsville, Texas this Saturday for a 1 p.m. match with Howard Payne.
