Bulldogs Post Sixth-Place Finish at SCAC Championships

LAKE WHITNEY, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf closed off its run at the 2025 SCAC Championships on Tuesday with its best round of the week to end its week in sixth place at 234-over. The Bulldogs were once again led by Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) who shot 14-over to lead Texas Lutheran to a 72-over team score in the third and final round. Asbury capped her week by finishing in 14th place.

Asbury ended her championship run at 49-over par. Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) finished 21st at 56-over par following a 19-over third round. Mireia Bustamante (Austin/McNeil) also fired a 19-over third round to finish 29th at 64-over. Jacqueline Springs (Seguin/Navarro) finished the tournament a stroke behind at 65-over par, ending the tournament in 31st place.

No. 12 Trinity won both the individual and team championships at the SCAC Championships with the team finishing 110-over par.
