Garza Leads Texas Lutheran on Day One of The Legends Cup

KINGSLAND, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team sits in ninth place (+56) after the first day of The Legends Cup hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland, Texas.

Senior Audre Garza (New Braunfels/Canyon) paced the Bulldogs on day one - shooting 9-over-par 81 to finish tied for 24th. Junior Braydee Frederick (Normangee/Normangee) wasn't far behind, finishing with a 13-over 85 to place in a tie for 38th. Freshman Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) sits in 44th - finishing day one at 15-over 87.

Host, Mary Hardin-Baylor, leads The Legends Cup with a team score of 19-over par while Alyssa Yee of UC-Santa Cruz sits atop of the individual leaderboard with a day one score of even par.

The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 9 AM at the Legends Golf Course. Stats will be available at golfstat.com.
