Swift collects fifth-place individual finish; Bulldogs take fifth as a team

SAN ANTONIO -- Summer Swift placed fifth overall to lead the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs to a fifth-place finish at the Trinity University Alamo City Classic.
 
At The Quarry Golf Club, Swift posted an 87 on Tuesday after shooting a 74 on Monday and taking a one-shot lead into the final round.
 
TLU's Kaley Martin posted an 85 on Tuesday and moved into a tie for 13th overall, and Bernadette Barringer and Samantha De La Rosa tied for 24th and 34th, respectively.
 
In the final round, Barringer carded a 97, and De La Rosa closed with a 103.
 
Tournament host Trinity University won the team title by 37 shots. Trinity's Raquel Hill took home the individual crown after rounds of 77 and 80.
 
Hill took medalist honors with a one-shot victory over Mia Lerma of the University of Houston at Victoria.
 
Houston-Victoria took third in the team race. The Jaguars were followed by: LeTourneau, TLU, Howard Payne, Centenary, and University of Dallas.
 
The tournament at The Quarry concluded the fall schedule for TLU Women's Golf.
