Swift in sixth overall, Bulldogs in sixth as team after round one of Hal Sutton Invitational

BOSSIER CITY, La. -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs sit in sixth place after shooting a team score of 381 Monday at Centenary College's Hal Sutton Invitational, being played at Bossier City's Golf Club at Stonebridge.

Tyler Junior College leads the tournament after a first-round 334. Tyler JC is followed in the standings by University of Texas at Dallas (347), East Texas Baptist (353), Jacksonville Community College (369), Williams Baptist (373), TLU, and Centenary (409).

TLU's Summer Swift (Fentress/San Marcos) holds sixth place overall after an opening-round 84. Kristen Cox (Utopia/Utopia) is in a tie for 19th after a 92.

Kaley Martin (Cypress/Cypress Woods) is 26th overall following a 97, and Halie Lewis (Schulenburg/Schulenburg) and Kristen Laird (Seguin/Seguin) are in 34th and 36th, respectively.

Macy Schulze of Tyler JC is the overnight leader after a 78.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with a final 18 holes at the Golf Club at Stonebridge.
