Presley Snags SCAC Player of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran guard Kayla Presley (Kyle/San Marcos) earned the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Player of the Week honors the conference office announced on Monday. This is her first career weekly honor.

Presley led the Bulldogs to a 68-65 win over Southwestern on Friday to extend the Bulldogs winning streak to seven and to secure the fourth 20-win season in program history.

Presley recorded a career-high 23 points and a team-high seven rebounds. After heating up in the third, Kayla Presley took over in the fourth. Presley would score ten of her 17 second half points in the fourth quarter, including six in the final five minutes. Presley was an efficient 7-of-8 from the field including making both of her three point attempts in addition to going 7-of-9 at the charity stripe. Presley would ice the game with 22 seconds remaining by nailing two free throws. Presley has finished in double figures eight times this season.
