Hornaday Named SCAC Player of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran redshirt sophomore guard Audry Hornaday (Mission/Sharyland) has been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Friday.

The honors are the first of Hornaday's career and makes her the second Bulldog to earn the honor this season.

The Mission, Texas, native was tied for leading scorer for the Bulldogs in their win over Sul Ross State Thursday, finishing with 12 points and two assists. Hornaday would also add six points against Division-I Incarnate Word on Wednesday. The Texas A&M-International transfer shot 45.5% from behind the arc between the two matchups, draining a pair of threes against Incarnate Word and a trio of threes against Sul Ross State. Hornaday would average 9.0 points across the two games.

Hornaday is the team's leading scorer off the bench, averaging 6.3 points per game and has reached double-figures twice this season. Hornaday sits just outside of the top ten in the SCAC in three-point shooting percentage at 34.5 percent and has shot 50 percent from deep over her last four games (9-of-18).

Following a break for the holidays, the Bulldogs will return to action on Friday, December 29 as they return to SCAC play by welcoming the Austin College 'Roos to Seguin. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM at Memorial Gymnasium and will be streamed on TLU+.
