Texas Lutheran Falls to St. Thomas

HOUSTON, Texas -- Texas Lutheran falls to St. Thomas 87-68 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action Friday night.
 
Morgan Rodriguez (New Braunfels/Canyon) and Kasey Hairell (Hallettsville/Hallettsville) each scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs. Hairell also pulled down nine rebounds for TLU.
 
Anna Koenig (Fredricksburg/Fredricksburg) scored six points and had eight rebounds for the Bulldogs.
 
Turnovers played a big part in the outcome of the game. The Bulldogs committed 19 turnovers, and the Celts scored 29 points off TLU turnovers. TLU forced nine St. Thomas turnovers, and the Bulldogs were only able to come away with nine points off turnovers. 
 
St. Thomas had four players scoring in double-digits. The Celts were led by Bresha Orange and her game-high 19 points. 
 
Texas Lutheran falls to 5-8 overall and 3-3 in SCAC play. St. Thomas improves to 10-4 overall and 5-2 in conference games. 
 
TLU returns to action this Sunday in Shreveport, Louisiana, as the Bulldogs face Centenary College at 2 p.m.
