Texas Lutheran wins second straight, defeats Sul Ross State 83-80 in Doghouse

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Basketball stretched its win streak to two games with an 83-80 home win Saturday night against the Sul Ross State Lobos.
 
TLU improved to 2-5 overall. The Lobos dropped to 2-6 overall.
 
Dominique Campos scored 19 of her team-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Bulldogs to the non-conference victory.
 
Kasey Hairell grabbed 13 rebounds and added 18 points.
 
Bulldog point guard Tara Molina dished out nine assists, and TLU registered 19 total assists on 23 made baskets.
 
The Bulldogs shot 39.7 percent from the field and made 13-of-37 three-pointers.
 
TLU went to the foul line 39 times and made 24 free throws.
 
Sul Ross State received 24 points and eight rebounds from Chandre Nunez.
 
TLU opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Dec. 19-20 with road games in Colorado against Colorado College and Johnson & Wales-Denver.
