SEGUIN, Texas -- McMurry forward Skyler Reyna scored 23 points and pulled down 19 rebounds to lead the War Hawks to a 60-58 road win Friday night over Texas Lutheran.
McMurry improved to 3-1 overall. TLU dropped to 0-4.
The Bulldogs held a nine-point lead with 4:14 to play in the third quarter but could not hold on against the War Hawks, who completed the regular-season sweep of TLU.
Reyna was the only War Hawk in double figures. She hit five three-pointers and was 8-for-17 overall from the floor. Five of her 19 rebounds came on the offensive glass.
TLU received 16 points and 10 rebounds from junior post Abby Hroch, who fouled out with four minutes to play in regulation.
Morgan Rodriguez added 13 points and seven rebounds, and Kasey Hairell registered 10 points and four rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 31.1 percent from the field for the game. TLU was 5-for-19 from the three-point line (26.3 percent).
TLU returns to action Saturday with a 6 p.m. home contest against Hardin-Simmons.
