TLU Softball Picks Up No. 15 Ranking in NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll

SEGUIN, Texas -- For the eighth consecutive year, the Texas Lutheran softball team opens the season ranked in the Top 15 nationally, as the Bulldogs are No. 15 in the NFCA Division-III Top 25 Preseason Coaches Poll that was announced Tuesday.

The Bulldogs have been ranked in the top 25 continuously for the last five seasons.

It is the eighth consecutive year that TLU has a preseason Top 25 rank.

Six starting position players return to Texas Lutheran in 2024 including All-American and New Balance/NFCA Golden Shoe Award Winner Caelee Clark (Montgomery/Lake Creek) and All-Region performers, Linzee Leal (Corpus Christi/Mary Carroll) and Madison Johnson (Round Rock/Round Rock).

The Bulldogs finished the 2023 campaign with a 40-8 record and a No. 14 final national ranking.

The Bulldogs host NCAA Division-II opponent, St. Mary's University, for their season and home opener at Ed Kruse Stadium on Tuesday, Feb. 6.
