Acero Earns SCAC Field Athlete of the Week Honors

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran track and field junior Ezra Acero (San Antonio/Harlan) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Acero finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.60m (15'1") - a mark that led Division-III competitors and ranks second nationally in Division-III for the 2023 national qualifier while also finishing sixth in the javelin throw with a mark of 48.99m (160'9"). Acero also ranks 15th nationally in the javelin throw.

This is Acero's third career weekly honor.
